IBM PA - Design/administration (2026)

Audience

Business analysts, decision-makers, project managers, and future administrators responsible for designing, maintaining, evolving, or administering an IBM PA/TM1 application.

Prerequisites

Completion of an IBM PA user course for PAFE or PAW, or previous use of TM1 through Perspective or Architect with basic concept knowledge.

  • Master dimensional modeling to build a performant and scalable application.
  • Design dimensions, hierarchies, and cube structures.
  • Manage data flows, imports, exports, and transformations.
  • Implement rules, calculations, feeders, and links between cubes.
  • Administer rights, technical objects, logs, and production deliveries.

  • Day 1: multidimensional modeling basics, cubes, dimensions, hierarchies, attributes, and Turbo Integrator.
  • Day 1: data import, export, transformation, copy, deletion, and transfer between cubes.
  • Day 2: calculated indicators, rule syntax, priorities, cube links, drill organization, and feeder optimization.
  • Day 3: production delivery, environment configuration, profiles, and data access rights.
  • Day 3: control objects, technical cubes and dimensions, server logs, and monitoring.
